Hire and manage performance and development of team members. Recommend salary increases, promotions and bonuses as needed. Manage large-scale quality assurance projects including staff management, methodology implementation and development and maintenance of ongoing processes; ensures quality consistency throughout product life cycle. Create project plans and budgets, allocated resources and evaluated test tools. Manage scheduling to ensure efficient and effective product testing; identified and reported risks to project schedule and product quality and proposes new methods to control and/or mitigate risks. Identify automated tools to perform quality assurance tasks and activities. Consult with other technology areas to develop, enhance and improve key software and systems engineering processes and development life-cycle activities. Develop measures and metrics to support software/systems processes and product quality. Manage both onshore and offshore resources Identified, developed and implemented new quality and process improvement programs. Keeps abreast of industry trends by participating in appropriate forums and maintaining professional affiliations.
