What are five lesser-known perks at
Metiom?
Metiom was a bubble baby startup that I had a brief stint at in 1999. The company, which received $60M in financing from Fortsmann Little, really had no product at all. After FL invested, they asked me to go check out what they had invested in. I told them that there really wasn't much there to speak of, so they asked me to help them try to turn it around. Yeah, you read that right: a turnaround of a startup. Doesn't really make much sense. But, that was 1999. A lot of silly companies got a lot of silly money.
The one perk: Forstmann Little also owned Gulfstream. So I got to fly around in a G4 from time to time.
