My first job was working as a telemarketer (don't hate me) for my father's insurance company in the 80's. I worked from 8 - 11pm, Eastern time, week nights so I could reach California home owners between the hours of 5 - 8pm their time. I've never had more people hang up on me more often than I did when I was doing this job. As it turns out, people are far more likely to listen to a recruiter with a great job opportunity then a teenager selling homeowners insurance after a long day at the office. ;-)
