Held primary responsibility for procurement of parts, assemblies and services for a high reliability medical instrument product line during a business transition from MRP materials management to a Kanban system.

Initiated new procurement plan to address a transition from commodity to product line based procurement responsibility. Performed reviews of supply-chain status for all parts; identified the most critical areas and expedited corrective actions through internal departments: Engineering, Quality Assurance, Inventory Control and Supplier Management.

Successfully negotiated new Kanban support contracts with existing suppliers, resolving various scheduling, technical and financial issues. Performed database research, data entry, forms creation and project organization in support of purchasing department transition from MRP environment to a Kanban system.
