Receive new equipment from the manufacture, record serial numbers and asset tag numbers using a handheld. Create images on local server of all models of desktop workstations. Format the hard disk and install image from the image server.
Work closely with the end user to assure all of their data has been stored on a local server.
Install and configure the IP address on new desktops, laptops and network printers to join the local domain and the internet. Restore the end users data on to the new workstation and verify they can access the local domain and the internet
Create new user accounts and reset passwords using 2003 active directory
Work from a web based ticket system that users access to get hardware and software issues resolved.
Repair workstations, install new mainboards, memory, hard disks, CDRW Drives troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
Train users in equipment operation and user maintenance, maintains equipment inventory.
Surplus outdated equipment
