Living in Los Angeles, is the perfect place for me right now. Overall, New York is the ultimate place to be for people in the magazine publishing industry; however, for the average person, New York can be a bit overwhelming (even for someone like myself, who has spent a great portion of her younger life in that location). With that said, Los Angeles is a great place to get a good start. It is indeed a big city, but has the properties of a larger suburban area. I found it really easy to get adjusted here. It's difficult to make friends here, but career-wise, it's great. And there are so many different areas in L.A. that there is a fit for everyone.
