How would you describe what you did at
Cray?
previously Cray Research Inc, then SGI, then back to Cray Inc (after Tera purchased Cray).
During divestitures and mergers took on extra work. Setting up email list servers and keeping data from previous mail, searches enabled, web servers, web development, data security, VPN setup for international networks and linux/VPN for home systems. Linux on notebooks and desktops.
Helpdesk (networking, programming support) (3 years) Site analyst/programming support and systems support at Los Alamos National Labs (LANL) (3 years). System administration (Crays, Sun, SGI, HPC systems, Linux anything, Linux clusters, linux kernel). (Linux since 1995). Parallel applications programming support/optimization/debugging since 1994. Data security, email list server, automated generation of lists, checking for terminated users, bad passwords, notification since (2000 - 2005). Oracle database (7+ years) Software development (3/2005 - present). MySQL, C, java, programming, python, shell scripting, RPM generation, writing software to filter, notify, log information, and to sort, search data.
