Victor's Answer

I grew up in a poor neighborhood in Brooklyn and I was a recipient of Medicaid. The people represented by my spreadsheets were my neighbors and friends. I act not only as an internal consultant to the senior management but also as an internal auditor; in this capacity I ensure that our members are being kept healthy and getting the services they need. Unlike the hype, it is in the interest of managed care companies that their members get the right care, at the right time, in the right way so that they stay healthy and avoid unnecessary hospitalizations.
