How would you describe what you did at dNovus RDI?

Network Defense/Firewall Administrator - Currently responsible for Secure Computing Sidewinder firewalls installed on a BSD UNIX platform, including administration of software updates, access controls, reviewing logs and performing daily backups. Performs daily administration tasks to allow and deny access through the firewall in accordance with Information Assurance (IA) and the Designated Approval Authority (DAA). Monitors, detects and troubleshoots in-depth firewall, SMTP anti-virus gateways, Blue Coat secure proxy servers and Domain Name Servers (DNS) consistently delivering effective solutions, as well as day-to-day configuration changes and upgrades. Responsible for processing Network Communication Center trouble tickets and modifying firewall configurations to add new network services, modify existing services, and remove unnecessary or expired services while maintaining Air Force network firewall security policy standards. As a member of the network security support team, participates in Network Operations Security Center (NOSC) Centric initiatives, increasing responsibility for remote administration and configuration of 15 Air Force Air Combat Command Bases, 40 Secure Computing Sidewinder firewalls, and 32 Symantec Anti-virus SMTP gateways, and 18 Blue Coat web proxy servers across an enterprise supporting over 400K users and 200K networked systems.
