How would you describe what you did at
Tusculum College?
I have an excellent academic background student. Tusculum College functions on a block schedule which means students take classes one course at a time, three hours a day and lasts for eighteen days. This system demands high level of focus and consistent attention from a student everyday. In spite of the immense time pressure and intense schedule, the block system has helped me develop ways to interact with challenges and create good time management skills.
Through the Bonner Leaders program, a national civic engagement scholarship program for college students, I have developed my understanding of several socioeconomic problems. Through national workshops and conferences, I have also gained a clearer idea about vital business issues such as fair trade, corporate social responsibility and effective foreign policies. Last summer, I assisted a local non-profit to promote the organization among the local community by creating brochures and giving presentations.
In addition, I am tutor and organize several campus-wide initiatives and trips. I love travelling and I participate in various outdoor activities. I can proudly say I am one of the most active student on campus.
