How would you describe what you did at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU)?

Creative Movement Studies, which combines Dance and Recreation, is a major that I created with the help of my instructors and advisors at VCU. Through this combination of disciplines I have been exposed to basic medical terminology, Kinesiology and anatomy, injury prevention, choreography, business planning, and grant writing. I taken courses in program planning, development, and program management. While developing this program I paricipated in volunteer programs including the Senior Olympics. I also planned and conducted a creative movement programs at two different volunteer sites. Being enrolled in two schools of discipline, Recreation and Dance departments, I had the opportunity to collaboratively choreograph a dance presented to the school of dance during an informal performance.
