What's your ideal role within an organization?

Currently I'm hoping to work directly under someone who's forgotten more than most people ever learn. I need my Mic, to my Rocky. The kind of guy who says, "If you want to be a good compositor, you'll have to be able to catch a chicken"... or something along those lines.
