What's the secret to getting hired at
peace corps?
The application process can be arduous, as the Peace Corps wants to ensure that only the most qualified and dedicated applicants follow through to actual service.
For most people, the length of the application process can be discouraging (it took me 6-7 months to finish everything and receive an invitation to serve). But, I believe this type of screening is necessary to keep the quality of volunteers at peak level.
Once you are in the Peace Corps, you receive unparalleled support and training from headquarters and your host country post. The administration is highly organized, and the pre-service classes you have to participate in is unbeatable in terms of quality and the extent to which they prepare you for life at a host site.
