Robert's Answer

I originally started off as a part-time sales associate assisting customers with purchases in consumer electronics. This required a great deal of product knowledge, customer interaction, communication, and computer skills. I really enjoyed this job because I was able to influence how people made decisions about important purchases. The last year I was at RadioShack I became a full-time sales associate and eventually assistant manager in charge of the store when the manager was not present. I was still taking a full college load at the time. I was able to oversee a small staff and help train on the new and upcoming products and promotions. Through this job I was able to gain knowledge about the wireless industry, computer skills, and the ability to close the sale and satisfy my customer at the same time.
