I started a business, and because my background is in anthropology and Chinese medicine, I adapted by expanding my skill base to include running a business. I taught myself to reconcile and keep accounts, manage patient scheduling, put up a website, enhance personal marketing skills by writing brochures and newsletters, attained public speaking skills by attending business networking groups, and of course, continued to expand my knowledge base of Chinese medicine and practice my skills as an acupuncturist.
