When I first started at Walgeens I worked in the photolab for about six months and decided I would like to move around to a different department. I decided to work in the pharmacy. I started out as a cashier in the pharmacy and eventually became a certified technician. Staying with the company and showing that I was dependable and dedicated helped me move up in the years to a Senior Technician. As a Senior Tech, I have a little more responsibility than other technicians. Creating the schedule, drug returns, inventory control, entering and filling prescriptions, and insurance claims were the main jobs I performed at Walgreens.
