One of our clients, a pitbull, did not like to have a lead placed around his neck, nor did he like to have the lead taken off his neck. In order to place the lead on him, I had to crawl into his kennel run with him, sit with him for a little bit showing him plenty of love by petting him and talking to him, and gain his trust before I could slip the lead over his head to take him out into the yard. Upon returning back to his run, I had to loosen the lead so that when he went into his run, I could quickly take the lead off of him before he would have a chance to turn his head and snap at me.
