I was doing property management pro-bono for years for a family friend and several family member who owned rental properties. Specifically, I started advertising and screening tenants for a employer where I was an office manager and it snowballed from there, started out a a favor- I didn't realize it could be a career path. Since then I have gained lots of skill and persued a formal education in property management-so its true, do what you know.
