What's the secret to getting hired at University of Minnesota?

One of the attributes the University of Minnesota seeks is creativity, dedication, and passion to learn and grow. I have been very honored to be the very first student ever in the history of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Minnesota (Twin City Campus) to serve on the Diversity Board and be hired as Coordinator for the M3C Fellows Scholar Program (Compass Compact)-being a student first, then employee. The ideas I brought to the table and my recruiting efforts surpassed me as a student and excelled me into a leadership role among tenured professors and administration. I am keen on problem solving (with precision) and very creative. I am able to strategically and creatively plan and execute public relations, marketing and advertising efforts that not only benefited the university but the clients as well.
