What's the secret to getting hired at
Boston University?
Right now the secret to getting hired is to apply to a position that's exempt from our current hiring freeze. If you've got that down, it helps to have first-hand knowledge of the university, whether as an alumnus/a, staff member, event attendee, or even a neighbor. It's such a huge institution, it's hard to generalize in this category; but across the board, we want anyone who has a real love for and intimate knowledge of the university but can also bring in valuable outside experience.
