3M?
*Development of Health & Safety Programs. *Perform employee health & safety training including fit testing for respiratory protection. *Maintain files, reports and records including OSHA record keeping. *Responsible for submission of regulatory reports including Title V, Tier II, and annual TRI point air emissions inventory. *Participate in Process Safety Management (PSM) programs. *Responsible for coordination of all required OSHA compliance including scheduling for annual hoist/crane inspections, fire extinguisher inspections, CO2 system inspections, sprinkler system back flow tests, etc. *Maintain related reports and general health & safety inspections....

How would you describe what you did at
3M?
Responsible for accomplishing the research, design, development and implementation of products and processes critical to the success of the Data Storage Division. Directed, coached or supervised engineering and technical teams toward these accomplishments.
* Designed the read/write channels of an advanced analog tape tester to be used on High Density Digital Recording (HDDR) and data cartridge media.
* Co-developed various laser interferometric surface measurement technologies: Laser Scanning Interferometer (LSI), Dual-Beam Laser Scanning Interferometer and Twin-beam Laser Scanning Interferometer (TLSI). Pursued patent on latter.
Managed several senior level engineers and technicians in groups of two teams. Cost, budgetary and schedule management for both teams. Coached one team to a Circle of Technical Excellence Award....

How would you describe what you did at
3M?
As an intern, I investigated the viability of 2 markets for the Marine and Specialty Vehicle Department. As an Industrial Sales Rep, I work with end users as well as several distribution houses in order to consultatively sell the 3M industrial product line.

What are the three best things about working at
3M?
1.) Working with a company who's credibility is beyond question. 2.) Having given me the opportunity to see how a company as large as 3M works from the inside. 3.) Having given me contacts for overseas work that produced a wealth of experience.
