What do you miss most about AMTI - An Operation of SAIC?

AMTI (formerly Applied Marine Technology Inc.) was bought out by SAIC in Dec 2006. At the time of the buy out, AMTI had around 550 employees. Overnight we grew from a VA-based small business to a San Diego-based Fortune 500 company boasting more than 44,000 employees. How would you describe what you did at AMTI - An Operation of SAIC?

Supervision of the company intranet and three high-traffice Websites on a network of 15,000+ users. Coordination and management of IT assets, Web-based applications, and personnel training for military training exercises. Oversight of proprietary systems and applications used by the Marine Corps to track and control aircraft while in flight. Assisted in the planning, development, and testing phases of VAPES, a new Web-based flight tracking system, designed to replace older, outdated applications previously in use.... read more
