What's the toughest problem you've had to solve at
APD?
In March 07 a new warehouse software was purchased, I had to come up with a way to tag the accounts from our main computer system to the new software, credit card payments were being missed daily because the two programs did not communicate, after racking my brain, the only way was to individually tag each account in maintenance with a special coded number, have the IT guys write a program for the new software, and make the UPS Clipper shipping program produce two packing slips for credit card customers only. The second shipping paper would be sent to accounting for processing the payment. About 10 days and $125,000.00 dollars later, the kinks were worked out and payments no longer being missed....
