Experiences at AT&T

The most challenging aspects to my job at AT&T was being able to break down the ordering process to analyze delays in a customer service orders, and to understand the multitude of data bases that work with each other to allow for service orders to be placed. From the OSP Engineering work prints in OPTI-NT that feed the various databases from Aotl to Granite to FACS to the various business office application....

From starting as a directory assistance operation to working in construction as a splicer and lineman to ending my career in OSP Engineering. The first lesson learned was the customer is paying my salary and delivery of a service or product must be on time or delivered before the due date. This has always been my philosphy to take care of the customer. Ending my career as an OSP Engineering, I worked to design projects to meet the telecommunication needs for AT&T to ensure delivery of telecommunication services to the customer on a timely basis for todays telecommication needs and for future telecommunication needs....

High School diploma is a start, college degree is essential and area of degree is not as important. Have worked with individuals with engineering degrees, french degrees and biology degrees. Education is key. Flexiblity to work extended hours, must be will to think outside of the box and know that the customer is the individual paying your salary....

AT&T will train you, but experience is key. Also a desire to work, is what the company is looking for your desire must be strong. The company will sense that.

As a member of the AT&T Staffing & Implementation Team I was able to work with, advise, and help staffing managers and recruiters across the United States merge/bridge new employees brought in through AT&T's newly acquisitioned companies such as Dobson Communications and Edge Wireless Communications.

I also worked with the AT&T Mobility Adjudication Team concerning employee candidates and their eligibility to meet AT&T's company policy while also maintaining State and Federal compliances concerning employment issues....

Having a good attitude with positive can do qualities and extremely dependable

Now the secret is having some sales experience in retail sales. Having a good interview, coming prepared and professional.

Have a postivie attitude, do your job, never be late, and obey the rules and regulations of the company

Calling the hiring store to check on hiring process. Get an interview and be energized.

Having awesome sales experience and the ability to multitask under extreme pressue.
