How would you describe what you did at Acxiom?

I led software testing of complex grid solutions. The project was supposed to transition to EMC Corporation in January 2008, but EMC backed out on the deal and left everyone on the project high and dry.

What's the secret to getting hired at Acxiom?

No secret. They hire mostly within Arkansas because their salary structure is so low. Anyone with a computer science degree from any Arkansas college or university can get a job there. I was stupid to move to LIttle Rock to work for them, but at the time I thought I was going to become an EMC employee in January 2008. Duties included loading, pulling, hanging tapes and shipping and receiving. Note: I worked as a tape librarian for 3 years before getting promoted to load operator.
