How would you describe what you did at Advanstar Communications?

Editor on weekly news trade tabloid. Duties included information gathering, writing, reporting, and interviewing; Creative control and creation of "Celebrity" column. Celebrity interviews included Joel & Ethan Coen, Morgan Freeman, John Sayles, Thora Birch, Mel Brooks, et al; Produced two weekly product sections: "Videorama" and "Rushes," and Table of Contents. Covered a regular news beat (MPAA: Motion Picture Association of America), wrote 2-3 video reviews per week, news articles as assigned, copy-edited freelance and staff reported articles, as well as the entire publication. Assisted in writing and production of two series of VSDA conference show daily issues.... read more
