IT. I've been with them for over 8 years, and they are like family. One of the best things about Advent is the people. I like pretty much everyone I've worked with here, across all departments.

It's a standard (but nice) cube, and Advent provides ergonomic consulting to make sure people are comfortable, and have everything they need to avoid repetitive stress injuries.

For the most part, whatever they want, althought it depends on the department. One of my best first impressions of Advent was when half the people that interviewed me were wearing shorts...

I have a virtual desk. It goes with me wherever I go. Advent has a lot of employees who travel and they have great systems in place to keep everybody dialed in.

Listen and learn. Get to know as many people as you can and always ask questions

Advent is a great place to work. The culture is work-hard and play-hard. The company takes great strides in being competitive in the marketplace (e.g. we just launched a company-wide increase in vacation time program. New hires now get three weeks instead of two!).

People and their development are valued a great deal. It is easy to come in, do great work, and feel that what you do has an impact. I would highly recommend looking at Advent if it matches your career interests....
