Experiences at Alcatel-Lucent

Assisted the Senior Directors & CTO with various daily operations in the department within the U.S. and Europe. Managed office in the Sr. Director absence, Interact with all levels of management, scheduled meetings, managed calendars, event planning, prepared expense reports, travel arrangements domestic/international, set-up audio/video conferences, managed/coordinated steering committee meetings, sent out correspondence, internet research, managed eMatrix data base, handled all incoming/outgoing mail, and some document updated forms on the webpage and all other miscellaneous duties....

I was a contractor to start and then hired full-time.

I worked in 3 different teams - my path crossed at various times with all 3 during my 23 years. There was no best team.

A coworker at a job I was working at told me about AT&T and that they were hiring and that I should go there.

If you don't know how to do it- ask for help.

You could laugh at something someone said or did. People were not afraid to say I'm sorry for causing extra work.

The toughest problem mostly was language I dealt with the international world. Though they spoke the English language some things they did not understand. Patience and understanding meant alot. Some things took longer for them to understand.

The challenging part was the coordinating the receipt of all the necessary documents to meet the terms and conditions of the letter of credit to submit to the bank for payment.
