How would you describe what you did at AlphaGraphics?

Attended and disseminated information from daily production meetings to rest of bindery staff; delegated tasks and duties to bindery staff, scheduled deliveries; use and light maintenance of bindery and prepress equipment (GBC Comb Binder, AP2 hole puncher, ProCut 320 paper cutter, folder, booklet maker, paper driller, RipIt image setter, Itek megalith camera, metal plate burner); bulk mailings; scheduling shipping (UPS, FEDEX, Airborn Express); mixed inks and prepared stock for pressmen; used AB Dick 9870 for occasional scoring/perfing and one-color envelope jobs; proofing of jobs before going to press; stripping of film for metal plates.
Filled in for when production manager was out: scheduled daily production meetings between production and sales staff; addressed isssues and concerns about current and upcoming jobs, authorized emergency stock orders; liasion between sales staff, owners and production staff; use of company credit card, direction and dissemination of projects to staff.

How would you describe what you did at AlphaGraphics?

Preflighted, color-separated and RIPed artwork for offset press and hsd/c departments; typeset materials; recreated and reworked client artwork for variety of projects; prepared artwork and layouts for online-ordering system; created new artwork, layouts and templates for internal and client use; purchased stock images for use in projects; used FusionPro plugin in conjunction with InDesign and Acrobat to create variable-data pieces for mailing; prepared artwork for various sublet vendors; met with sales staff and advised as to optimal ways for clients to prepare and construct files for print production; maintenance of client database of documents and art ensuring legacy compatibility; proofing and error-checking artwork; maintenance of ISO9000 standards; updating daily time-log of projects; daily prioritizing of projects based on due dates, proof-due dates, production time necessary and other factors as applicable.... read more
