What's one of the projects you worked on at American Airlines?

Teaching a multi-media curriculum I developed, "Sailing through Sales," to all employees in our frequent flyer sales departments (over 500 people). The techniques learned increased sales at our location by 45% over other AA reservations offices.

What are the most challenging aspects of your job at American Airlines?

I learned how to handle irate passengers, let them vent, give them options, and resolve customer service issues to their satisfaction (as well as the company's). The most challenging time at AA was right after 9/11 for obvious reasons, along with pay and benefit cuts, and seeing co-workers laid off.... read more

Coordinating time and attendance for mechanics in Hangar at AFW, using AutoTA. Clearing exceptions, entering new rotations, daily CS changes. Updating Sick Call Line information daily, maintaining vacation calendar and bids, updating Overtime sheets. How would you describe what you did at American Airlines?

* Managed daily Flight Service Operations and acted as a liaison with local and system departments' i.e. Crew Scheduling, Passenger Service, and the pilot's Flight Department.
* Implemented policies as well as ensured full compliance, including all proper procedures were followed for Flight
Attendant injuries and aircraft emergencies.
* Issued directives to Flight Attendants and Pilots for the Federal Aviation Administration's mandated random drug testing policy.
* Attended frequent continuing education training sessions in the areas of operations, systems, documentation, diversity and union negotiations.
* Performed duties of Flight Service Manager for Boston Flight Service of approximately 200 Flight attendants each.
