Experiences at Anderson Merchandisers

Sales Rep for their only customer, WalMart. Really it is a glorified stocker job, but you have the responsibility of inventory, returns, etc. as well as just stocking music, video and books. It was one of the worst jobs I have ever had. However, I met some wonderful people who worked for WalMart stores. They are some of the hardest working people I've ever met. As for Anderson Merchandisers, I was very disappointed in the management on the local level. I was in Jackson, MS and they had hired a guy from Texas who was very unprofessional, poor hygiene, not very well spoken and who overall presented himself as disorganized and not really on the ball. He continues to be in management for Anderson. The work was kind of fun and didn't require much thought, just physical labor and patience with Walmart employees. The real issue for me was the District Manager Anderson Merchandisers has in the Central Mississippi district....

As a sales field rep I worked closely with Wal-mart associates to ensure communication between Anderson and Wal-mart. I ordered product for my two accounts, stocked product, provided customer service, and merchandised product. I also was responsible for digital service sales, as well training Wal-mart associates on digital sales....

Enthusiasm is the biggest secret to getting hired at anderson. You should also have a customer service background.
