Experiences at Appalachian State University

The major was interdisciplinary, meaning that I was able to take classes that were offered in multiple schools/disciplines. Some disciplines include the Urban and Regional Planning Dept., Political Science, Anthropology, and geology.

Music Industry Studies 2000 - 2001

I was majoring in psychology

* Utilized online catalog, electronic databases, periodicals and other resources to assist students, faculty, staff and community in research on the Appalachian region
* Contributed to project creating a digital collection of Appalachian music

* Assisted the director of University's Public History Program with daily operations including content development for the department's website, design and maintenance of program's bulletin board, and meeting coordination for program participants
* Orchestrated and conducted a survey, mailed to former public history students, that was used to formulate the program's future curriculum and educational structure
* Worked with the Director of the Appalachian Cultural Museum to observe museum procedures and events management...
