Taking on new task head on with confidence and meeting deadlines. Also dealing with customers with their crazy request meeting deadlines.

How would you describe what you did at Applied Biosystems?

Being flexible and taking on task. I put myself in a position, to be I can do one or other person's job if they were out of the office. Also too, I would do a little of I.T. software support for other dept. when they were down.

How would you describe what you did at Applied Biosystems?

Led product marketing and created and executed strategic plans for developing new markets for mass spectrometry products such as clinical diagnostics, biosecurity & environmental for two divisions of AB.
* Led product marketing and coordinated WW sales effort for clinical diagnostics and other
nascent market areas resulting in 24% growth in FY05 and forecast growth of 50% in FY06 to $60MM.
* Directed strategic planning team to identify and assess new market segments including segment-specific opportunity valuation, market drivers, growth rates, sales forecast, regulatory strategy and risk analysis.
o Resulted in prioritization of six new segments, development of kits and software
* Directed cross-functional teams that created and executed product development plans to address customer and regulatory requirements. Resulted in development of a novel cross-market reagent product.
* Worked with WW marketing groups resulting in marketing plans designed to establish segment leadership, support sales efforts and leverage relationships with opinion leaders.
* Developed collaborations with academic and government opinion leaders resulting in biomarker discovery, development of clinical assays for TDM, toxicology, endogenous compounds and microbiological identification, clinical outcome studies, clinical trials, patent applications, regulatory applications and published research that drove MS adoption at institutions such as:
o Mayo Clinic, UCLA, UCSF/SF General Hospital, University of Pennsylvania, University of Utah, Georgetown Univ., Univ. Hospital of Cologne, EPA and Centre Hospitalier Universitaire, Limoges
* Negotiated co-marketing/application development agreement with a major life science instrument vendor resulting in increased lead generation, development of assays and co-submissions to regulatory agencies.
