Experiences at Army National Guard

There is no secret hard work and a lot of training.

Volunteer for patriotism and love of country, serving a cause bigger than yourself, educational opportunities, adventure, etc. There are no secrets there.

I have benefited tremendously from my time in the service. The Army National Guard has helped pay most of my tuition expenses. I am still receiving my G.I. Bill for attending college and I have some medical benefits through the VA hospital. This experience also has made me a stronger person physically as well as mentally....

My first m.o.s. was a truckdriver. I am licensed to drive 5 tons, tractor trailers, and the hum v. My second m.o.s. was military police, which does everything that a civilian police officer does, your just enforcing the law on a military base. I was activated twice and did two back to back deployments for homeland security which gave me a total of 4 years of active duty service time. I finished with the rank of E-5; Sargeant....

The secret to getting hired is being squared away. Be at the right place at the right time in the right uniform.

I handle anything and everything with medical supplies using the computer programs DMLSS and TAMMIS. I am experienced with the storage and upkeep of medical supplies as well as the computer work.

I Transported personnel, equipment and supplies

Nuclear, Biological, Chemical reconnaissance and decontamination. Retention and career counseling.

As a CH47D maintenance I'm responsible to keep the helicopters in the best working condition possible, to have them ready for the mission I can replaced from a small light bulb up to hydraulic pumps, transmissions, powerplants, rotors, etc
