I started out at Asante as a clerk in Medical Records and quickly moved to the clerk in Medical Transcription. I learned the hospital systems and made friends in many departments, which helped me to do the best work I could do. I then went to school for medical transcription and hired on as a Medical Transcriptionist for the remainder of time until I left the company. I loved to hear problems that the doctors and my coworkers would have and then fix the problems. They seemed to come to me for almost any problem because they knew that I would do my best and could either go to the right person or fix the problem myself in less time than others could. It feels great to thought of highly by the "top guns" at work. Management wasn't always happy with my success, but I did get the various jobs done (in addition to mentoring others) and it was usually a happy situation all around....
