Prototype: I drove prototype vehicles or vehicles with prototype parts on a variety of prescribed street and freeway routes, alone or in a team of 2-7 for an 8-hour shift. Occasionally we would drive across several states over several days. There was paperwork to maintain, and sometimes a computer to check for error codes. Procurement: I took a rental vehicle to a participant, did the paperwork and vehicle check to transfer "custody" of participant's vehicle and rental, took the participant's vehicle to the lab for emissions testing, and returned the vehicle to the participant, doing the reverse paperwork. I often did this after working as a substitute teacher, giving the company more flexibility in returns and giving them more time to procure more vehicles and make more money for the automotive customer....
