I teach the MBA Marketing Management class and as part of my course development, I put together a syllabus that is heavy on marketing application. I require the students to do an environmental scanning project that leads to a full marketing plan. The marketing plan is for an existing area or national company or an entrepreneurial venture of their choosing. This is always exciting to me to see what the students present as a new market or product opportunity....
