What are the three best things about working at Avocent?Satisfaction -- opportunities to make productive change abounded. Low turnover -- everyone liked working at Avocent. Tools -- modern IT structure and any tool needed was easily obtained.

What's the toughest problem you've had to solve at Avocent?Smooth integration of acquisitions. Resolving cultural differences, establishing new contacts for multiple disciplines, removing fears of the acquired, teaching the Avocent way. Integrating the acquired's knowledge into Avocent processes and reassessing best-in-class practices.

How would you describe what you did at Avocent?Quality Assurance at the Huntsville, AL corporate HQ Operations Center. Americas-based suppliers, Management Systems Division products (KVM switches), ISO 9001 registration. Product lifecycle management, inception to grave.
