How would you describe what you did at BancTec Service?

Provided desktop/laptop/peripheral equipment IMAC support [installs/moves/adds/changes] within the Sears Holdings corporate headquarters. Converted Token Ring network connections to Ethernet as needed. Performed pre-installation, memory upgrade, and network conversion site surveys. Migrated computers from Windows NT to Windows XP. Used Clear Case-based Help Desk ticketing system. Installed, upgraded and configured workstations to fulfill requests for hardware and software for new and existing users. Managed the breakdown, relocation and setup of workstations to accommodate user relocations and user remodels, along with new hires. Disseminated technical knowledge via ticketing system, conferences and written documentation to colleagues. Performed minor break/fix duties as needed.... read more
