What's the secret to getting hired at Best Buy?If I knew that answer, I could set up a consulting business and make a ton of money! I really don't know, although I will say that if you refer to "what advice would I give a new employee" response, it would serve as my response to this question.

What was your major and how applicable is it to your position at Best Buy?Psychology. What was the main reason for accepting your job (location, opportunity, money) at Best Buy?I needed the money! I was unemployed (in 1983) and was urgently seeking work. I accepted a commission sales job even though I'd never done it previously, and I was not very good at it at all initially. After a few months, I became the company's top salesperson for the next 3-4 years!
