How would you describe what you did at Books-A-Million?

I worked on and off for three years. My job was to assist customers with any and everything in the store. Over my time there I gained full knowledge of the store. I learned how to work in a team setting as well on my own. Neatly organized books on tables and on shelves.

You have to be very good with people, including understanding what they are looking for with minimal description, but you also have to be detail oriented to understand the category classifications of the books, and to be able to sort, shelve, and find them quickly by that classification and the alphabet.... read more

Though my primary job was receiving books and other merchandise, I also supervised other employees in cashiering, sorting and shelving merchandise, and in customer service, including placing customer orders.

How would you describe what you did at Books-A-Million?

I made a variety of drinks hot cold and frozen. I sold food, magazines, books, and many other misc. items. I have great customer service and that has caused me to gain patrons.

In charge of entire Hallmark department including general upkeep, stocking, and ordering product.
