I was hired for my 10 key processing, filing,and customer service abilities.

Being able to dealing with many different people, a love of books, and strong patience.

I worked on and off for three years. My job was to assist customers with any and everything in the store. Over my time there I gained full knowledge of the store. I learned how to work in a team setting as well on my own. Neatly organized books on tables and on shelves.

You have to be very good with people, including understanding what they are looking for with minimal description, but you also have to be detail oriented to understand the category classifications of the books, and to be able to sort, shelve, and find them quickly by that classification and the alphabet....

Though my primary job was receiving books and other merchandise, I also supervised other employees in cashiering, sorting and shelving merchandise, and in customer service, including placing customer orders.

I made a variety of drinks hot cold and frozen. I sold food, magazines, books, and many other misc. items. I have great customer service and that has caused me to gain patrons.

In charge of entire Hallmark department including general upkeep, stocking, and ordering product. Other duties included: covering customer service desk where I assisted customers in locating and/or ordering books and answered incoming phone calls, running the register, and other duties as they were assigned....
