Prepare patient charats; admit and discharged patients; answer busy phones, correspond with doctors and nurses regarding patient transfer, discharges and admits; provide informative non-clinical information requested by patients, families and visitors; answer demanding patient call lights; identify emergency situations and initiate appropriate response actions; photocopying various documents, send and fax transmissions, protect patient confidentiality and autonomy rights at all times. Correspond with EMS via telephone or in person about emergency room admissions. Contact floors regarding new patients and discuss travel arrangements. Handle all chaotic situations in emergency room, notifying security when needed....
