Open, close, count, log and balance the safe fund. Prepare tills for register drawers. Make change for registers throughout the day. Prepare, balance and audit the daily sales report. Prepare and balance all bank deposits. Update all logs daily, including store credits, layaways and gift certificates. Log cashier variances daily. Reconcile and balance cashier's tills and paperwork. Monitor and register detail tapes. Open registers at opening. Act as liaison between the store and the corporate sales audit department....

I put out the new youth size clothes, moved and clearanced the older clothes, watch the dressing rooms,transfer clothes to other stores, stood at the front door for 1 hr a day at bag check, chase shop lifters, and cashier when they needed me to.

Be your self and be able to work 8hr days nights and weekends.

I had previous cashier experience from working at BJ's Wholesale Club.

I found it challenging to write the S.O.P.'s. I enjoyed researching each step.

Supervised 4 departments (box makers, packers,clerical and inductors). We packed merchandise to go to all the Burlington Coat Factory's Nation wide.
