I was a sales assistant with Clear Channel Radio Sales. As the national sales arm for Clear Channel Radio, Clear Channel Radio Sales (CCRS) is an extension of Clear Channel's 1,200+ radio stations.

I work marketing for Clear Channel Communication in the greater Akron/Canton area. This consists of representing radio stations at events almost on a daily basis. I have to report to different radio stations promotions coordinator to find out what exactly I am going to do that day. The stations that I represent are WKDD, WHOF, WHLO, and WRQK.... read more

How would you describe what you did at CLEAR CHANNEL COMMUNICATIONS?

Founded the creative department for CCCM (Clear Channel Collective Merchandizing)

Built a team of 12 people: 4 in-house for administration, 4 creative, and 4 to 10 freelancers.

Created presentations for promotion of the department.

Managed over 550 individual finished products for our
clients in one year.

Managed all hardware that was needed for the team.

Achieved $1.5 million in sales from .25 million within the last year (Jan '03 - Dec '04).

Brainstormed new marketing ideas in a team atmosphere.

Established systems to follow in order to minimize training time when new team members joined us. It also helped in locating files that were created by people that were no longer working with us.

What do people do for fun after work at CLEAR CHANNEL COMMUNICATIONS?

The best thing about my internship with ClearChannel Winchester was that all the DJs were really tightknit. I was able to get to know them all really well and we had a lot of fun when we went out every Friday night downtown to the bars; we didn't even really talk about work a lot, we were just close friends and it was a great experience to work with people that well.... read more
