I really liked all of the employees at CNN. Everyone brought something different to the table; different backgrounds, different experiences, and different outlooks. It was refreshing.

Take advantage of everything CNN offers. For example, take part in the free television writing courses, network with employee shadow correspondents/producers/etc., and ask questions!

1. The fast-paced environment
2. The fact I was surrounded by news and politics ALL-DAY :)
3. I wasn't treated like a lowly intern, but like a member of the staff.

What's the toughest problem you've had to solve at CNN-The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer?

I would have to say running from one end of the building to the other in three inch heels to deliver a correspondent a breaking news story. Somehow I managed to not fall and break my neck (YES!)

What are the most challenging aspects of your job at CNN-The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer?

The most challenging aspect of my internship at CNN was keeping up with the fast-paced environment. In the event of breaking news, I had to be ready to aide the production team with anything necessary to make their job easier. How would you describe what you did at CNN-The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer?

* Internship duties included, assisting producers in the control room and with segment research, fact checking, logging interviews in real-time, helping train new interns on office policies and duties, contributing segment ideas at morning production meetings, conducting studio tours, guest relations, and clerical duties.
* Worked with other interns and allocated duties to complete projects such as compiling and verifying emergency agency contact information and other in-depth research projects used by the network in the event of breaking news.
* Learned how to work efficiently and effectively during fast-paced, intense breaking news situations by dividing work among my co-interns.
* Completed television writing courses and received extensive training in iNews and MediaSource programs
