How would you describe what you did at Callen-Lorde Community Health Center?

* Screened telephone calls, letters, and/or visitors; answered routine as well as complex questions and furnished information when possible or appropriate to save team members' time.
* Composed and typed routine, as well as complex letters and memos; access, reply and forwarded emails when
requested.
* Provided HIV Pre/Post Test counseling in accordance with the program's established testing protocol and NYS AIDS Institutes HIV Counseling and Testing Guidelines.
* Compiled information, statistics and budget modifications for division.
* Handled vendor relations, purchases and payments.
* Prepared monthly and annual reports.
* Coordinated and managed schedules for referral staff.
* Performed HIV testing using established testing methods and or latest technologies (OraQuick).
* Provided screening, assessment and risk reduction counseling to clients.
* Maintained and completed appropriate documentation to meet all regulatory requirements including, but not limited to NYS Department of Health names reporting and partner notification.
* Screened HIV positive patients for entitlements eligibility and other support service needs, and assist patients in obtaining them through advocacy, negotiation and application completion.
* Provided emotional support, crisis intervention and referrals to emergency services, Refer patients with overt psychiatric manifestations to Callen-Lorde and other mental health providers as appropriate.
* Performed data entry of patient and service information utilizing Uniform Reporting System (URS) and or other databases required by grant reporting.
* Drew and collected blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.
* Obtained blood specimens by performing venipunctures and finger sticks.
