Experiences at Carroll College

B.A. Degree

Well, I am still currently going to school. I start the first phase of the physical therapy program this fall (2007) at Carroll. I've taken many different classes, mostly biology based, but some prerequesites including business, computer classes, and others.

This was my first college experience and it really formed me, I learned to work hard, network with classmates and respect my college. I enjoyed my time working for admissions as well as being a leader in the philosophy program and making a host of friends.

What i have learned along the way is that you have to adapt to the different situations around you. Everything is not going to come easily for you even though you would like them to. You have to be able to work in many different situations, under different time limits and with a wide variety of different people....

The three best things about working where i am are 1)My boss, she is very understanding with everything you do, 2)The other people that I work with because they keep you on your toes and are always willing to lend a helping hand, and 3)My work environment; it is very laid back and its an easy environment to work in, there isn't a lot of pressure when there doesn't need to be and just enough when things are starting to heat up....

The most challenging aspects are the people you have to work with. We have outside clients, which involve more work than the students on campus. There are many different aspects for each leg of this job.

The secret is that you have to be a people person and you have to be able to work with the people around you. You have to adapt to different situations and different people.
