Provide technical systems administration support for IBM WebSphere application servers and related components Responsible for maintaining 260 servers hosting web-based application for the firms' HR department Monitoring of WebSphere, IBM HTTP Server (Apache), MQ Series, and IIS in a clustered environment Respond to alerts from monitoring system for system error conditions (system down, disk full, CPU busy, memory full) Provide phone support to end users when the system is down or user is getting application errors Take responsibility of trouble tickets escalated to department from the help desk Stop by user's desk to assist on clearing temporary internet files, reset Internet Explorer settings, and gather print outs of screen shots taken by user from error messages within the web application Troubleshoot web application related issues, provide solutions, and escalate issues to other support personnel as necessary Troubleshoot problems within WebSphere software in development, test, and production environments Assist application support groups as they deploy their web applications and provide troubleshooting assistance as needed Perform weekly check up on servers in the datacenter for bad fans and/or hard drives, and info the LAN team if necessary Reduce workload for developers by assisting on light web programming (HTML, DHTML, and JavaScript)...
