My job description was a hostess. I was responsible for interacting with the customers on a daily basis by greeting them as they arrived, asking them their preference in the restaurant, guiding them to their location and asking them about their experience in the restaurant and always welcoming them back. I also had to maintain the front area in a neat and orderly matter....

I cooked and prepared orders, i prepped the food stock, i cleaned the floors, i washed all the dishes, i bused tables, and i even served once or twice.

Bartender, therapist, bouncer!!! ha ha

The secret to getting hired at CHili's is being friendly. Customer Service today is lacking in friendliness and being warm and open is the main key to geting a job in the food service industry.

My main duties were to greet customers, keep the front lobby clean and manage a wait list. I also trained new host and on the weekends I was the lead hostess so I gave instructions to the other hostess.
