How would you describe what you did at Cisco Systems?

Everything! From design through schematic capture, verification,repair and support. I worked at a satellite office and we had to do everything ourselves. No technicians - all engineers!

Lead software engineer for multiple teams responsible for many aspects of the manageability of Cisco's new, next-generation operating system, IOS XR. Responsible for leading and project-managing teams of engineers, as well as architecting key operating system infrastructure, defining roadmap for future innovations and interacting with customers.

Played a central role in defining and architecting :

- embedded alarm management and correlation infrastructure
- the programmatic XML interface to the OS applications
- innovative embedded device configuration and monitoring features
- an off-the-box Craft management tool

In these roles I have inventorship on 5 "patents pending".

* Generated up to $25 million per network design sales by engineering complex customer solutions to include CLECs ILECs, BLECs, IXCs and ISPs.
